This is achieved by firstly identifying what is to be cleaned, deciding on how it will be done, drafting a method statement, deciding on what chemical to use, performing COSHH assessment, establishing what equipment will be required, performing a risk assessment,  placing of warning signs, implementing protective and control measures.  I.e. not leaving equipment where it may cause a hazard, cleaning up spillages and removing hazards as theo happen, never mixing chemicals, posting clear warning signs
